Your greatest Christmas ever

With Christmas only a few sleeps away (as my grandchildren put it) I want to share with you a powerful process that you can utilise to release Christ's power into your life.....especially if you are dealing with a difficult situation at present.

In my third book, "The Power That Works In Us", I have dedicated a chapter that explains a Biblical strategy that I call, "the power of a good confession'".

It's important for us to understand that if we continually confess a problem, we are tending to "feed" the problem, thus keeping it active or "alive".

A much better idea is to confess the truth of God's Word over the problem. This brings a scriptural source of power into play, which will work in our favor. Consider this.......

The Bible makes it clear to us that the scriptures, that is, the Word of God, is living and powerful. It says about itself, "For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4;12).

When we speak out a portion of scripture that is revelant to whatever the problem is that we are dealing with, this power is activated within us and Christ can bring it to bear against the problem.

A couple of verses later, we are encouraged to, "hold fast our confession".......in other words, we need to persistently keep the positive impact of what we are confessing, directed at the problem.

Jesus Himself said, to a distraught father, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes". (Mark 9;23)

Why don't you begin confessing those words of Jesus over your problem? You might need to do what this father did, when he replied to Jesus's statement, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief". The Bible tells us that the man cried those words out to Jesus, with tears. This man's confession was positive. It was genuine and from his heart.

Perhaps your problem has reduced you to tears. If so, I encourage you to follow this man's example. If you read on for a few more verses, you will see the wonderful result that was achieved in his son's life.

The final thing The Bible does in this section of scripture, is to encourage us to come confidently to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The throne of grace is where Christ is right now, at God's right hand.

You can do what the man whose story we have just looked at, did........you can go to Jesus confidently, confessing His words over your problem and look for a wonderful result.

This could be your greatest Christmas ever.
