Some time ago, I read an article about a female medical specialist from New York, who introduced the name ,"Therapeutic Touch" to the process she used to allow healing power, as she described it to flow through her hands and bring relief and healing to her patients. She pointed out that this procedure is found in the bible, where it is referred to as "The laying on of Hands". I decided to introduce the expression, "Therapeutic Touch" to patients at our Pathology Collection Centre, who indicated interest in the concept.

I have discovered the only way to be certain of having prayers answered, is to spend time in what Jesus referred to as our "secret place" and receive clear instructions from God, concerning what He would have us say and or do. If we don't do this, the best we can achieve is to share with people our own thoughts and opinions. Even if we are genuinely concerned about someone's problem, this cannot guarantee that our prayer for them will be answered. Let me share a recent example with you...

In the chapter that I called "Therapeutic Touch", in my first book, "Ultimate Journey", I shared the story of how a young boy, whose mother attended the same church as my wife and myself, was healed of blindness, caused by a defect, in of his eyes. This happened when she took him to church on a Sunday morning when it had been announced that a visiting speaker, with a special interest in Christ's healing power, would be speaking and praying for people who had a need of healing.

It's always great to receive correspondence from people who contact me with a specific prayer request, after either reading my blog or one of my books. What is even better, is to hear from them later, with details of how they received answers to the prayers which have resulted in their lives being completely changed...

In my books, I share details of people with whom I have been personally associated, who have experienced incredible healings. Some of these occured several years ago, whiile others have been more recent. The gentleman from Melbourne, whose details I shared in the November blog, is an example of a recent healing miracle.

Last week, I had an email from a lady in Victoria, who initially contacted me early last year, after reading "Ultimate Journey". Her husband had been diagnosed with cancer and she wantered to request prayer for him, after reading some of the stories in the book regarding people who had recovered from serious conditions, after being prayed for.

Recently, I have been spending some time considering an issue which I suspect we all, at some time in our lives, have to deal with. The issue I am referring to is bitterness.

I once read what I felt was a good "working " definition of faith. It said this, "Faith is believing God's word enough to actually put it into action". Just recently, I was thinking about some of the people in the New Testament, who had significant medical problems and who put their faith in Jesus into action and by so doing, were healed of their particular conditions.

This month, I feel it is important to share with you the power that can be made available to us, when we make, what the Bible calls, a good confession. One of the meanings that my favourite dictionary gives for the word confession, is to acknowledge one's belief in something.
